I have a set of spark plugs for my 66 mustang 289 sitting in a drawer at the house. WIll these plugs work for my 76 bronco with a 302? What gap should I be running on a stock engine?

I can say that my '65 289 and my '69 302 took the make plugs.
IIRC the gap is .035" but somone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, the plugs will work. As for gap can't remember. I thought it was .032
but you'd better confirm that.

In reality, .003" (.032-.035) is too small to make a noticable difference. I mean we're talking about the dia. of a hair from the nether regions.......
There will probably be at least .010" gap variation in the tab just due to it not being parallel to the electrode face.

No they won't fit . Electronic ignition plugs are smaller diameter . The change came with the Duraspark ignition . Pull one of your '76 plugs , the difference is obvious ... assuming your '76 has the original engine .
