I welded up an O2 bung for my fuel injection but didn’t make sure to get the exhaust flange located correctly.

That’s an easy fix. Just turn the pipe around and the flange will be on the other side.....

D'oh! We've all been there...well, not there exactly, but somewhere similar...on the wrong side of a bung hole.

I was drilling my installed exhaust to weld in the O2 bung for the FITech, I used a step drill bit and drilled completely through the other side...had to take the whole exhaust off to fix:-[

I had bungs added to my exhaust for when I add FI. The shop that did it then welded the bungs shut!.WTF I will never use that shop again.

I think I would split the retainer, twist it past the bung...Then re-weld the retainer.

Grind it smooth, and no one will ever know it happened.

That might end up being less work than un-welding the bung...

I did this too. Right in front of the car owner. Felt so dumb. I ground the edges of the bung and weld until it was free. Once I cleaned it up and moved the flange I welded it again. It was just a little shorter. I had blocked it out until your pick gave me a flash back.

Ever watch Roadkill? They filmed themselves and aired doing the exact same thing when they put the turbo on the Rotsun.

Sorry to say, you have more catching up to do.
