for those of you who have done this shorten a Big bronco dana 44 to Eb width my questions are is that all we need to do to make it work on our rigs? I have an opportunity to buy one that has been cut to EB with however the seller went a different route and never installed/used it.

wondering what else other that shortening is required if anything?

will the wedges line up same as our EB wedges for the radius arms to line up?

thank you in advance

Wedges don’t line up perfect but good enough. Springs will arch slightly but work fine. Duffs makes a spring bucket that’ll make it straight if it bugs you.

Unless this is an uncut bronco, leave it full width and add full width rear for extra stability.

Possible clearance issues between oil pan and driveshaft with a 351w.
Driveshaft length depending on lift.

If cut down properly the axle fits the radius arms just fine, the wedges are the same, and the coil springs are in the same position. To use EB width axles shafts. The driver’s side housing needs to be shortened .625”, and the passenger side 5.998”. The other main issue would be adding a track bar riser mount.
