Sway bars only for lifted rigs?

Hello,
I run a 1" BL w/ 33" tires and dual shocks. When I'm going up hill around a turn under speed I definitely have some body roll.
In researching sway bars, I find them all referencing a lift kit of 2" or more.
Does anyone have good experience w/ sway bars front and/or rear on a stock suspension?
Thanks

Most '76 and '77 Broncos would have that experience. They had bars in the front at least from the factory.
The only reason you would not want one for stock height is if the manufacturer says it won't fit without a lift.

I guess I was lucky. The 80s Hellwig rear bars were made for no lift and of 1 1/8" diameter. The links are much shorter, but otherwise almost the same design. In combination with the '77 optional front bar, handling is good.

3.5" lift on mine and I added the Hellwig 7867 bar. The links that came with it were 4" too short so Hellwig sent me longer ones. I bet the stock 7867 kit works fine for no lift. First pic is before the longer links were installed

I installed Addco bars front and rear on a stock suspension and am very happy with the handling. I purchased them from Summit Racing.

I just installed the same kit and came across the same problem. Looks like I’m contacting hellwig on Monday. Thanks for the info.

I ordered the 1045W kit from WH fits great. 4.5 springs and tie rod over. In the reviews on their web site there are folks with 3.5 lift said the same, fits great.
should have done this a long time ago.

I installed a 7864 on mine a year ago. My understanding of the 7867 is the longer connector leg to get the sway bar leveled up once installed. I made my own links to connect to my previous dual shock tab off the C-clamp anyway so I didn't use the Hellwig links.

Addco 147 fits UP TO 2.5" suspension lift. It will be fine on stock, especially 33s.

Note: do not use this bar if you rock crawl. It hangs real low under differential and will absolutely get ripped off.

I agree 100%, I had the Addco bar on mine and the second time I ripped it off on the trail, I threw it in the dumpster. ;D

7867 is what you need. Be prepared for the end links to be too short and email Hellwig that you need 4" longer ones.
