Aren't they the rear corner tie downs for the hardtop? They bolt both to both the rear bed corners (down through the stake pocket hole) and up into the hardtop?.

Yep, go into body rear corners and help support Factory Hard Top.

Does anyone happen to have a pic of them installed? Do they go on the inside somehow?...

No pics at the moment, but I could get some if you need them.
Basically, if I'm reading this right, the top one would be the driver's side, where the end with the large hole would be the lower end (fits into the body) and the left side in the pic would go up into the top.

They should only fit one way I would think, so you should be able to line up the welded nuts with their corresponding holes in the top and the body.

While they're not an absolute necessity, and some people leave them out, I prefer to leave them in for that one little extra bit of security when running the hard top.
When removing the top, they would usually stay bolted to the top and pull out of the body. To do this more easily, it's a good idea to loosen the wiper motor assembly to let it slip back just a bit. Clears the front lip just a little better and lets you maneuver the admittedly awkward thingies out of the rear stake pockets.

I always called them the hardtop horns. Clean them up, chase the old threads and paint with a good primer and install them, they will be hidden from view. Be careful if you are installing them yourself, can really ruin ur paint job on those quarters.

If you anticipate taking the Factory Hard Top on and off on a regular basis, I would NOT install these at all. Would be much easier without them.

in your pictures the whiter end goes down into the truck bed. The dirtier ends go up into the top.

Now that right there's a true statement!!!!
Many a nice paint job has fallen prey to those horns. And why I always loosen the wiper motor and let it hang a bit. It was always the wiggling to get the top straight up and those stakes out that would mess up an otherwise perfectly good top R&R.

I think that's backwards. I took mine off years ago, but it seems like the dirty end goes into the stake pockets. They would be more susceptible to dirt and moisture.

For those who's Broncos don't have these, how did you mount your liftgate supports? Pic's would be great.

Thanks,

Ben

Lift gate supports don't mount to the hardtop horns, I just pulled my top last week for the 1st time, it was a pain, I should've used my 58 ford tractor with loader, but used my cherry picker instead lol
