Time to replace my mufflers. Have a crate 302 with headers and cherry bombs now. Considering stainless glass packs- anyone use them or have opinion pro's or con's.
Why do you want to remove a glass pack to get a glass pack? Stainless or not they will sound the same. Is the rest of your exhaust stainless? If the CB's are still in good shape don't change them just so you can say "I have stainless mufflers."
I really like the sound of Flowmasters. And they will last forever. If you're interested in the sound comparisons between their many styles, check this out :
or CherryBomb Pro(same as 40 series Flowmaster, but 1/2 the cost) or Cherrybomb Vortex(out flows magnaflow and Flowmaster w/no cruising drone). This list can go on and on.
I am still wondering why wanting to replace the current glass packs w/ another set of glass packs. I get that they might be worn out, but I just want to hear him say that before I threw out other options.
Sorry for the confusion-- I currently have Cherry Bomb Turbos and they need replaced. The advice on the Cherry Bomb Vortex sounds like the right direction
I've always been a flow master guy since I've owned a number of fox body mustangs nut the last one I built I used slp loudmouth II's and really love the sound no drone at all in the cab and when u get on it the sound u want. So slp loudmouths plus they don't take up as much space as a regular muffler.
