I am having a issue with the 4x4x2 power steering box /explorer pump and gm hydroboost brakes I cant get a firm pedal and I filled the powersteering reservoir up and the steering wheel started to turn by it self. WTF is going on here is it normal for the steering wheel to turn by it self is it air in the lines not sure whats going on here could one of the lines be in the wrong spot. the steering wheel will turn to lock by it self both left and right or will stay in the middle and turn right and left very fast if I turn it to the left it will go hard to the right and the same when I turn right It will go hard left what am I missing thanks.

Did you swap the guts out in the box?

the box was in the bronco when I bought it im just converting over to hydroboost. Is there something I have to change in the box to make this work I don't remember reading anything about this.

For the record hydroboos brakes work with a 4x4x2 box. trying to remember if my wheel did something wierd when I fired it up after adding hb. I think it moved but not too crazy. Just figured it was air or something.

The fitting furthest back on the box (nearest the steering shaft) is the return. It should be run to the reservoir.
