Hood locking pins

So I am new here and to the world of owning an early Bronco. I have a 73 Bronco with a fiberglass hood that currently has hood pins but they do not lock. The hood latch has been removed and I am assuming it did not work with a fiberglass hood. While driving on a gravel road the other day both my hood pins came out and the hood flew up and smashed the window. I was able to find one of the pins when I back tracked and it did not have any damage. I never found the second pin. My question is are there any good locking hood pins. I want to be able to lock the hood down for security purposes and to prevent the hood from flying up again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Google "Aerocatch" hood pins. They are a different style altogether and are flush with the hood. I have them on my rig that seems to never get done.
If you want, go to my my Fibermetal build thread and go to post #192 and you can see a good shot of these.

Something like this they look good on most ring brothers used them on a high end build for sema then a lot of people started running them so the aftermarket jumped on board.

Duffs also offers a couple high end auto locking hood pins as well as the more traditional style. Here's a few links for ya

I have the second ones listed here and really like them.

I use two very small master padlocks, two come in a package. Keeps things secure and keeps hood from opening when you don't want it open!

They make them with key locks too. Here a shot of mine on my 78 Bronco with fiberglass hood.

I also have done this. I've also smashed the windshield...not fun.

Whatever u go with don't buy the ones from the local store that use the cylinder keys to lock em. I ran em for a while and constantly had problems with em. I had em loosen on their own and start flapping. Also had em jam where key wouldn't work and had to turn whole assembly with channelocks. After that it made me questions running locks on hood. If you were to have a problem (like fire) it's that much longer to open and deal with it.
