Any transmission experts out there? My OD is not working and I'm wondering if there's something I can look into before finding a shop to tear it open. Fluid level is good, and I have manual braking when dropping to second (which I believe is a sign the OD band is working). Any help is appreciated, thanks!

What truck, year model etc? Is it not going into 4th (staying in 3rd) or is it going into neutral engine racing away?

The button is just a momentary switch so if the OD light is off which is the startup default, you should have 4th gear. An EEC test should be the first thing to do.

I am wondering if it is a stand alone controller? I think more info is needed... Is this in his Bronco or his truck. How is it set up? Has anyone been in it to say install an AA adapter?

I'll start by saying I'm a total newb/novice when it comes to this (if it wasn't already obvious)...

It's in my bronco with a stand alone bauman controller. I'm not familiar with how to work the software, had a buddy do it. It's setup with default settings except 4.11s w/ 35" tires. Was working fine... Till it wasn't.. Not sure what AA adapter is.

Get the software up and running, see what the computer is commanding before you touch anything inside the transmission.

Have you found the OD cancel switch/button?

Advanced Adapters... aka A/A

Assuming that you still have the D20 transfer case so you would need one of their adapters to mate it up...

I agree that you should check the software to see what is being commanded or not...
