FiTech EFI fault code 21

My log file shows Fault Code 21. What is that?
My problem occurs under full load heavy acceleration, not necessarily high RPM. The AFR Trim goes to 50. The engine bucks, hesitates and recovers when I let off the throttle. Could this be a bad pump? The data log file shows Fuel Pump at 95-100 throughout the entire session. The gas tank is full with the level above the FiTech frame mounter fuel pump.
I wish FiTech would publish a chart for Fault Codes.

It's the start of a holiday weekend, give it a little time. A lot of people are busy getting away from everything as they have not been able to do so since the start of the year.

I'll bet that they are using generic abreviated obd code designations. In your case 21 is coolant temp sensor out of range for ford, tps for gm, o2 sensor for dodge. From before they went to a universal obd2 for all makes.

Maybe?

Hmm, that's a great call there Greg. Not only logical, but it was well known that FiTech had a real problem with their as-supplied temp senders early on.
Then again, most companies, FiTech included, tend to use GM for everything. In this case they even use GM sensors and senders, so maybe it's a TPS fault after all.

When did you get your kit Davey? Is it a recent purchase, or was it sitting in a box for awhile before you got it installed?
There was a workaround for the temp sensor issue, with buying a particular brand and part number from the local parts store. But it seems to me that FiTech was supplying them to customers that needed them.

Good luck.

My FiTech #30001 was sent back under warranty for a new CPU July last year. They updated the handheld software at that time as well. Regarding suggestions for Error Code 21, judging from the log file TPS seems okay (reading zero at idle and rising as RPM goes up) and so does the coolant temperature readout (matching my separate analog gauge). I thought of attaching the Log File here, but don't know how. Or it may not be of interest.

In the meantime I'll recheck the TPS calibration. I seem to recall it should read 0-3 at idle.

Thanks for your thoughts gents.

I got one of the earlier FiTechs. The TPS that came with read really low. I replaced with the AC Delco TPS and it works as it should.

I know that FItech has been hammered for their lack of customer support before. But what's the deal with this secrecy about their fault codes? I searched for about an hour trying to find a list and can't find one...???
Information like this should be plastered all over their website with easy access to everyone, not hidden in a help forum that you can't view unless you register. Ridiculous.

TPS and IAC steps are right on. As to the IAT, I can't find it in the log file. I see Air Temp of 91° and Cylinder Temp of maximum 144°. Strange if it's only on the handheld. I'll check tomorrow.

Remos, your list of fault codes don't show anything like the #21 I find in the log file. Love it: "I thought I was retired, then I started restoring my Bronco." Nice work BTW.

Remos you were right on with that decoder list. Joe, at FiTech, sent me their list and it matches yours perfectly. As to Code #21, it's an Air Temp Sensor Code and "it's a fake code" that can be deleted. At the time, some how I missed the second "number" column from your list. As to my original problem and post, it's either a bad fuel pump, clogged filter or both. I cleaned out the post pump filter and it ran good for about twenty miles. Then the same problem returned. Currently waiting for a new 30 micron filter delivery.
That's it. Thanks everyone!
