People have talked about cutting the two apart and welding them together.
Yeah, many decades ago, that’s what people did to fit a 351 into a bronco.
The pans were different, but the instances of rear sump 351 pans were few and far between. Maybe in the beginning, they were not existent, until you could find a 351 in a van perhaps. Not sure when that started, but the first iterations of 351 swaps into Early Broncos, involved cutting pans.
A couple of the Bronco vendors offered them for awhile.
Not sure if you had to provide a core or not, but at some point, I think you did.

I have made/modified oil pans in the past. It is work, but it's not rocket surgery. Best to have the gasket rail part bolted to a block when welding on it, but I've done it without that option. Just have to be very careful about how the heat is managed.
I use the hose-clamp trick to make the new oil pick-ups.

Dude on fordsix performance offered these 3 options he knew of. Previous owner of mine obviously chose option one, then never changed the oil.

Oil Pan: A few options:
A) Just run the 250 pan and allow the potential clearance issue to exist. OK for more of a road truck or enough lift.

B) Cut and weld the bottom of a 170/200 pan for a bronco onto top/mounting side of the pan. You have to extensively modify the oil pick up.

C) Measure, measure and measure--cut the pan at an angle where it would not interfere with the pumpkin and weld on a patch plate. The oil pick up needs to be modified, but it can be done just by bending it.

I once made a rear sump, road racing style oil pan for a Nissan KA engine going into a Datsun 510 using the formed sheet metal of a recessed fluorescent light fixture. It was the right size, shape, and material thickness for the job. :)

The pick-ups are actually the easy part although no one ever seems to think so. Define the location for the two end points, then fill in the middle like you are building an exhaust system from mandrel bends. Oil pick-ups rarely get reused, so engine machine shops usually have a bunch in their scrap metals bin. I like to have 3/8" clearance between the bottom of the pick-up and the floor of the oil pan.

I modified the crap out of the factory oil pans for the 429s in our offroad racers to make them dry sump. Lift was a total non-starter for stability and handling reasons, so I moved the engines back about 6" in the frame and made the front-most part of the oil pan as shallow as possible since no oil pump had to live there. Might have been 2" deep in the front...still kissed the 44 center chunk on occasion.

when I started on here they would not allow me to discuss an i6. Hounded, and
laughed me off the site. I see it getting better’n better over the yrs tho.

“... cutting the two apart and welding them together...."
yes, used the 250’s 'ring’ (that which bolts up to block)
a filler strip
and
the 170’s ‘pan’ (for rear sump).
I may have used the 170 p/u tube/screen too. (May B the 200’s tube/"oil pump boltup”)
I think the 250 was 1st offered ina ’69 stang. I have it w/an “M” head (1, if not the best, fora
'direct mount 2v' like the 2100 probably the best/most tunable 2v carb) a mill/fill/mill operation
(forge weld). I kept the ‘small log’ head, a ’75 sold to me asa large log (many know less than me
on these, the "odd ball” of all things ThriftPower - six different models). It is not. I wanted the big-
gest 1v carb I could get (along w/long tube headers, other mods) to build a low rev tq-er (power comes
on in this model @ abt 1500 revs so no tire spin in the dirt, an inherent benefit of the i6). The RBS carb (for
typical low hood ‘60s/70s fords) came w/a 4.1/250 ford motor (having the float behind not under). I think a Cheb
(Rochester 'monojet') may B bigger or a HHB (last carb designed? wrong name?) might B even bigger. In the end?
I dont think I needed BOTH mods. I also used a ‘late Mav” pair of motor mounts/frame towers as well. I’m thinkin of puttin ona
carb hat/matching VC and running a ‘fresh air tube’ (bronco’s name for ’74 + snorkel) out behind battery onto ‘core support’. As i
own a 70 it has no slot cut there for this part. My ‘grill' is off now, a nice time to locate/cut out that oval. Can any1 do some measurements
(minimum of triangulated & for 3 spots) of where that cut can B punched out? TY in advance~
