I have a new cowl hood, but really didnt want to use it. I may have to rethink that.

Got the manifolds back from powder coating. I am going to use Cometic gaskets for the install. Next parts to get are the fuel rails, injectors and heater tubes.

I received the Explorer heater tube. The tube has a push in adapter, and my lightning manifold has a threaded insert. Other than that the fit looks pretty good.

Any thoughts on adapting these?

After doing some digging you need this adapter that Ford no longer sells (https://classicbroncos.com/forums/threads/explorer-heater-tube-question.212861/)

@tasker are you able to help here again?

I do see now that this Foxbody heater tube has a threaded insert instead of a push in.

Is your picture from a used cooling tubes or brand new? I have never seen them apart like that...

So if you go with the Mustang tubes, one of them is 3/4" at the rear discharge. Easy to adapt with a bypass hose like the one from the water pump to the thermostat housing. Drops it down to 5/8", built in 90* turn and almost perfect placement for the heater control valve. ;)

It is listed as a new Ford part.

Thank you for the advice.

Hoping someone comes along with a line on the connector. I suppose I could get a used one also.

Great! What model vehicle did you pull it from?

The engine I pulled it from was sitting out of the vehicle. I want to say it was an early 90s 351w from my memory. Been a few weeks now since I got it.

Go EDIS?

I'd seriously consider going with the remote mounted TFI module. Your first post doesn't mention what kind of cam you're going to use. If a roller cam I'd use the late 90's 351W EFI engines as the source for a distributor. My '96 FSB w/ 351W has a remote TFI, find one of those or an F-150 donor and you can harvest all of the bits needed.
