@okie4570 always has wind to deal with as well. The times he doesn’t have a 20-30mph crosswind on every drive to town are far and few between. He’s in Twister and lookin for Toto territory. Even the quietest car is loud LOL
I don't know, our Excursion is quiet, son's Challenger is quiet and even my 04' Ford Ranger and 66 and 71 broncos are more quiet than the 22' was. It's almost Ike we had a sun roof open and no glass in the back end.

My 26 is quieter than my 22 even with the Hot Head liner. Love the looks of the 2 door but the 4 door is more practical. No regrets on getting a 4 door.

If you get a hard top. make SURE you do not get the MIC (molded in color) version. They are atrocious for cracking and delaminating. Get the MOD (painted) hardtop, no reported issues with them.
The 2 door is great fun handling wise, especially with the 2.7L V6. However those went extinct for 2026. The Stroppe Edition of 2025 was the last V6 2 door. That was what I bought and I LOVE it. There ae still some on dealer lots (as the color scheme offends some folks) and are being discounted now.

Is there a winner in the engine department?
How about the auto vs. manual? Or just personal preference?
Both engine choices are good. Manual or auto? Personal preference, except...you can't get the V6 with the manual.

My neighbor bought one of the first ones and it had the soft top. He hated it and sold it within a year. Said it was too noisy.

They are great! Go get one!!
My wife has an early 2022 Black diamond, four door soft top, wasnt a SAS package but I lifted it 2" and put Wildtrack tires and wheels on it. It has been a great truck a few warranty issues, only other problem was a EGR pressure sensor went bad, think a replacement was $40 on Rock Auto and about 45 minute to replace. It has over 103,000 miles on it now. Yes it can be noisy inside but no more that a soft top Jeep. Handles great on the highway and is really awesome for an IFS rig on the trail. Se has driven it on many log trips to Florida and NY. Hers has the 2.3 4cyl motor and auto trans. It is no sports car but gets the job done. MPG is around 18.

I have had two four door Badlands one was a SAS the other wasnt, and a two door Black Diamond. The first Badlands I ordered and it took forever to get. It was a 2022 model nice truck was soft top Non SAS, leather power seats, carpet floor, kind of plush. It was nice but liked the look of the two door better. I only had it about 4 months and traded it on a 2023 Two Door Black Diamond it was a non SAS model so I lifted it 2" and put a set of Sasquatch Wheels and tires on it. It was a 2.7 with an auto and was a complete blast to drive, never had a single issue with it but found that it was small and my son getting in and out of the back seat was a pain. The hard top was quieter on the highway then the soft tops. Traded it in 2024 for a four door Badlands SAS package and I love it no problems with it at all about 30,000 miles on it. Been on trips, hauled all kinds of stuff and it is also the fastest bronco I have had, for some reason it just rolls. It is a soft top and yes it is not quiet on the highway but it is miles ahead of any EB I have had. I would love to find a hard top then it would be perfect for me. I will also say that the fit and finish has gotten much better since the 2021-22 model years.

So I would look for a hard top, 2.7, a Badlands or Wildtrack. If you buy used get one 23 or later.

Loved just about everything about my 2023 Black Diamond except for the wind noise. I had the insulated top and did every noise reducing mod suggested in the bronco6g forums; the noise was still annoying enough that I had to sell it.

Same. I pulled interior panels, door panels and insulated. Added roof insulation. Helped a bit but didn't like going down the highway with no radio on and yelling at each other to visit.

That one is just like the 2023 two door Black Diamond I had. Mine was Hot Pepper Red. Only wind noise issue I had was a whistle between the two front roof panels. put a little strip of very soft weather stripping along the edge of the panels and on the front weather stripping and it solved it. Mine didnt even have the insulation on the top. Never found it to be too loud. And I certainly didnt just put around town with it. Sad to hear you guys had such issues.

How about all the various package options.
What are you finding to be the most helpful both for mall crawlers or trail crawlers?

I have a 24 wildtrak, 2.7, auto, hard top. I have the soft top but have not ventured to put it on because I am too busy driving it! I do not find the noise terrible, but I am rocking hearing aides on both sides! I get over 20 mpgs at just over 30k miles of driving. Put it in sport mode and watch out, it has great road manners and just a joy to drive.

Offends? but I've received way more thumbs up, waves, talking too me, with the Stroppe over any of my other 2, Gen 6 Broncos. And yes, I also picked up the Stroppe because it was the last v6 edition 2dr. Not that the 4 banger is bad, I had it in my first Gen 6.

I am a big fan of the Badlands and Wildtrack trims. Also I would get a Sasquatch package on any trim a little more up front but nicer looking rims and a lift from the factory is cool.. The Outerbanks with Sas and the Lux package are nice too if you are never going to take it off road. I rented one like that one time and it was very comfortable. I like the Badlands because I still have rubber floors yet all the fancy tech, Lockers front and rear sway bar disconnect, and a few other off road goodies. I also like the Badlands front grill the best. I also say get the 2.7 V6 you wont regret it!
