After 4 tries I managed to make a bezel out of ABS plastic to fit around glove box to cover up the paint and metal damage I did to the dash while removing the previous Tuffy glove box that had the stuck door.
I think it came out well enough to sort of looking enough like it's supposed to be that way to the casual looker that it will go unnoticed.

Filled mine up again today... 4 th time in 2 weeks. Weather is great. Leaves are turning color and in anticipation of zero degree temps we're cruising a lot while the weather is good... :)

Over 400 local miles just cruising... going again tomorrow.

Struggled like heck with the column shifter today. Everything lines up but 1st is still sullen and hard to convince. If this keeps up I'll have to have this chat in the tech forum.

The awesome weather this week has me motivated to get the '70 running before the snow flies.

- V8 installed
- Transmission / T-case installed
- Dash cleaned up
- Grill almost done

Need to dress the rest of the engine, but the goal is to get it moving on its own power by this weekend.

Well, about 500 miles the past 14 days just EZ cruising around our Valley up in the hills.

We were looking for color, looking for critters, looking for good easy, relaxing times and we scored on all three each trip! :)

I'll see if I can break the videos short enough to give you an idea of what looks like Mt. St Helen's (volcano that blew SW of us & covered us in ash) trees blown down due to high winds that we had this winter. (When the mountain blew in 1980, it leveled trees for miles, it was pretty impressive...)
By crow, this is probably twelve miles from our house... As we circled in from the south went west and came out to the north and finished the loop.

Edit as pics load opposite of the order you pic them... lol
First (LAST) pic shows the creek that flows through our place about ten miles up from our house.

Mt Ranier thru the hazy left over FF smoke. At 6300+ ft here. Our creek starts right behind where i'm standing 28 miles from our place.

The last (FIRST) pic is out the kitchen window in our front yard.

You all have a great day and a great week!! :)
