Based on my exposure to production parts made there they could in theory be made by different factories and still share everything except for (maybe) the cosmetics.
I'm suspicious of them not knowing that they had copied gigglepin. Doesn't seem possible that you wouldn't research the market first.
I bought an ancient M8 that supposedly came off a Border Patrol truck. No contactor, no cable, smoked motor. $50. Tripped over it for a decade or more as I just never really seemed to get around to installing it on something. I bought a replacement motor for it not long after getting it, but no cable. Decided that I needed to use it or sell it, so I put it on the FSB. I was lucky enough to be able to buy an Albright from gigglepin, so I'm somewhat sure that it isn't chinesium. Built a wired controller using this
switch, this
cord, and this
socket. One socket is at the front bumper and the other is under the dash inside.
When I stumbled onto another M8 for a too good to pass up price (steel cable but no contactor) I decided to put it on the Wagon. It was up near Clear Lake and the friend who grabbed it for me was authorized to dump the steel cable, made handling it much easier and I was planning on another Custom Splice line anyway. By then no Albrights available, at least none that weren't chinesium anyway. As I still worked for them I asked one of the EE's about a cluster of 4
GV200's from the load bank or some R&D testing or whatever. He wanted to know how much HP the winch had and then brought me 8 of them that are specific to some EV. Decades ago I put a Superwinch 2500 on the avatar and used Ford starter relays for it's reversing system, so wiring that up was nothing new. Copper pipe annealed dead soft and smashed flat makes an OK low budget bus-bar, so that combined with another control pendent the plan for the Wagon's winch control.
