    Engine mount location for installation?

When I put a new engine in mine, I left the motor mounts in place on the frame and then lowered the engine onto them.....no issues doing it that way. So, I guess you can do it either way!

    Dana 30 discs

You should consider the Chevy conversion. I did that on my D-30 Bronco a few years back and it was pretty easy. And not too expensive if you can find used parts.

    Lowering windshield advice?

One other thought: if you do end up lowering the windshield, be very careful to not crack the glass. If the windshield is binding at all that can result----don't ask how I know!

I had also let...

    oil pan removal and re-install

OK, finally got it done. I had to do the "jack it up and use jack stands under the frame, and also unbolt and lower the high end of the track bar. Again, I thank all of you who offered advice.

    oil pan removal and re-install

Thanks so much guys. I'll give it a try today. I hadn't thought of lowering the suspension to gain clearance, but certainly makes sense and easier than raising the engine.

    oil pan removal and re-install

I have a 70 Bronco, original 302 and 3 speed manual trans. I finally got the oil pan off, but only by lowering it as far as possible then reaching in and unbolting the oil pump and pick up tube and dropping it into the pan. I'm ready to re-install but hate to try to do it in reverse of what...
