i adapted a tow bar off a explorer that i got for $10. made 2 peices to go inside the 2 front frame railes and put a bolt all the way through and made some adapter plates.
Since I bought the bronco when i was 13 and it was suppose to be a 3 year project and be done for my 16th birthday, and i turn 18 in a month so 5 years and hope to have it done to drive it for graduation.
I went from the front bolt holes for the door limit strap with a lifting ring. then ran a chain to a bolt hole for the rear seat and attached another lifting ring. then did the same on the other side. then put a peice of tubing across so i pulled straight up. I used a fork lift but its the same...
I got a free hydroboost today off a astro van and all i had to do was pull it. But i want a saginaw pump to go with it. What would be the best car to pull it off of. If it was dual return would be nice or i'll find a way to make it work.
Thanks, CJ
I have been using speedy sleeves at work for years and never had a problem. When you slide your yoke back in make sure you don't tear up the seal, be gentle. CJ
I have read in here somewhere that those clips that hold the fuel and brake lines can be purchased at carquest. can anyone give me a part number.
Thanks, CJ
number one thing have had trouble with is carb cleaner loosens up paint and if there is any paint left on the motor when you paint it, it will peal right off.
I have a Lincoln 135 and i love it. i have the gas and i love the 110v because i can weld really anywhere. unlike my stick i have to drag around the 25ft HEAVY cord. the lincoln does everything i want it to do.
im using durabak on the bottom of mine. I wasn't going to pull the tub off but i said what the heck i've gone this far why not complete it the right way. the frame i had it sandblasted primed and painted semi-gloss black for $450. well worth the money rather than doing it myself.
