Before I raised up my flares I wanted to do the same thing. I was going to line up the body line at the back and cut out a section above that and splice it back together with a plastic welder . Haven't tried using the welder on this plastic yet but I think it would work and give you a finished...

Painted flames on Dirtwheels Bronco above the bodyline . It's held up pretty well !!

Yea chrome yellow is a non metalic, late model honda has a real nice metalic that is nearly chrome yellow !!!!! Was going to paint my chevelle that color !!!!

Rattle can flames now ten years old !!!!!! Been touched up twice in ten years !!!!! still looks good !!!!!! This was suppose to be a temporary touch up until a full paint job!!
