Hobart, Lincoln and Miller are all great welders (Miller owns Hobart BTW). Like others have said, get a 220v if you have access to 220v outlets. This will enable you to weld heavier things like the frame and rollcage you mentioned. You can use a 110v for some things like that but you are...
I used Sherwin Williams epoxy floor paint on mine and it has held up very well for over 7 years. The only area that has any damage was from a heavy barrage of grinder sparks at close range (I wasn't paying attention). No tire marks, no chemical damage. Just make sure you use the epoxy based...
I have a 211 and love it. It works great on 220 and 110 volts, and like other have said the autoset is very good. Have welded both thin sheet metal and heavy (1/4" +) steel and got very good welds all around. You won't regret buying one, unless it goes on sale the week after you buy it;D
I am in need of door guts such as latches, handles and the likes. I don't need any window stuff, I am building some half doors and starting with shells. Let me know what you got, it don't have to be pretty, it just has to work.
This happened to me a few weeks ago. It was actually the arm connected to the transmission had loosened. I disconnected and readjusted the linkage and shifts like normal now. Starting in 2nd will wear out a clutch so grab a wrench and start adjusting.
If you loosen the linkage on the...
I had to drop the main tank last night because I could never get a good reading on the fuel gauge. I know the gauge works with the other tank so I figured its the wiring or the sending unit. I checked the sending unit and at about 1/2 tank, its at 14 ohms. Pegs past full all of the time. The...
I am running an older Howe radiator that was a little over half full, so not over full for sure. If I fill it just below the top, it pukes pretty quick.
My big question is why did it keep dying on me in traffic. It took 15-20 minutes before it would crank and run again. When it stalled, it...
Back in Oct of last year I had an issue with the tired 302 in my 75 when we were down at Cruisin the Coast. The engine would run at 170 degrees until I shut it off, then would jump to 190+ and start spitting coolant out the overflow. It did leave us stranded in traffic a couple of times where...
Greg, welcome to CB!
I talked with you (text) the other day and look forward to meeting up and seeing your project. I agree that it may be the door post were replaced and not spaced properly but all can be fixed with enough welding wire ;D
BTW, there are a few early Broncos in Prattville but...
