Do you have any pictures or measurements of how yours sliders/rock skis are done? Looking to do something similar with my bronco, especially after catching the rocker this weekend wheeling.

    1970 Bronco Wheeler

Got my full widths today, now to touch them up with some new brakes and bearings. Maybe ball joints. And then some steering components, track bar, one ton tie rod kit, etc.

Well that makes me feel a little better about doing the swap with the stock arms and upgrading over the off-season. I know I will need to trim the kick panel because the axle will be moved back a little more than normal due to the spread of the arms.

Would you say there’s no point to doing this with stock radius arms or doable? Just curious. I’m my plan was to keep the wider mounts for stability in the future if possible and eventually get the wider coil buckets after I go to long arms.

I also feel like the control arms would start getting in the way with how low i'm trying to stay, suspension-wise. 2.5"-3.5" suspension doesn't leave a ton of uptravel with radius arms, I can't imagine trying to package an upper link mount in there.

If I had the know how I would love to haha, but unfortunately I am fully aware long arms are more in my skill set.

Going to pick my full width 9 and 44 up this weekend, then on to planning the next pile of parts I will need. Anybody running full widths on stock wedges and stock radius arms, 3.5" lift? Part of me doesn't want to cut the wedges off and mess up the factory caster, but i'm worred that running...

SOLD 1986 Bronco, Tons, LS and 40s

After much heartache we have decided to list our 1986 Bronco for sale. It has some issues currently that I will be slowly working to fix, as I do, the price will go up. Details of the build and most issues I ran into can be found here: On to the next one: Bronco build . But I will try to list a...

Been a busy couple of weeks but got the bronco painting finished. Still need to finish mounting my winch again and cleaning up some of the dust from painting but man it looks good for spray paint. Also ended up installing a sniper on it. Was worried about EMI/RFI issues with my HEI in front. But...

Loving this! Similar stance to what i'm looking for as we get closer to finishing our '70 as well! Wide and low! What long arm kit are you running in the front? And do you know what flares you have? I'm looking to eventually open up the wheel wells in the future but my current flares won't allow...

From what I can see, the np205 is 2-2.5" longer than the dana 20, so I think it wouldn't affect me that bad especially if I were to stretch the rear an inch or so with an adjustable perch. Options to consider for sure.

I'm currently running an NP435 so it's pretty short. I'm curious how much longer the np205 is than a dana 20 though.

considering it. Not pressed for it, but I do worry the dana 20 isn't long for this world If I wheel it on 37s.

    1970 Bronco Wheeler

Took the Bronco out to Uwharrie here in NC and had a good day and a half of wheeling. Bronco did everything I asked of it and preformed great for where it's at. Definitely need to invest in some bump stops. Only a few issues I ran into. One being my carter rotary vein fuel pump connectors kept...

Got the idle down lower to the upper 600s. Vacuum is slightly lower but steady, around 16 inches but fairly smooth. Also got it to where the throttle is backed off until just before ported becomes manifold. Feels good, still have this flutter at lower rpm in gear, nothing like a bog, so not sure...

But I could be wrong and that’s why I’m posting here in case I’m missing something. So I may try to turn the idle down to where it is back in posted at idle and go from there with my tuning

    1970 Bronco Wheeler

I’ve left it connected under the argument that it should only be affecting the idle because once I’m moving I should be on manifold vacuum once the throttle is opened. There’s plenty of people who run manifold vacuum on their advance so I wouldn’t think it would be an issue. I figured taking it...

    1970 Bronco Wheeler

Manual, NP435. I will definitely have to turn them out more if I want to lower the idle any and keep it smooth. But trying to find a happy medium. Ported vacuum is getting manifold vacuum at idle because of how high the idle screw is turned up. But I’m trying to get it back down just taking...

    1970 Bronco Wheeler

Cruising around another 20 or so miles in the bronco today still working out the kinks in the idle/tip in. After the cruise it was idling kinda wonky so while it was warm I went snooping and noticed all of the spark plugs on the passenger side had backed out to where they were just barely loose...
