I agree, there should be more attention paid to "Special Paint" vehicles. It is a bummer that Kevin Marti doesn't have the documents to show what color they were actually painted at the factory. We have seen them painted in older colors, fleet colors, van colors, car colors, odd colors, etc. but...

Any "Special Paint" Bronco would have a blank paint code. There were quite a few every year. Looks like your Marti says 354 for 1977? If you dig through the Marti thread you could find more, but I have these offhand: 1966 - No Data 1967 - 1968 - 1969 - 918 1970 - 1147 1971 - 1027 1972 - 645...

Yes, I have read that before too, but it's speculation. The order dates, build dates, and DSO numbers do not support that. All good, just letting you know... ;)

Hi guys, looking for some nice jack handles and lug wrenches. I need a couple of each. Original paint preferred, but I can paint if needed. No rust pitting at least. If you have a jack with it I can buy them as a set or individually. Let me know what you have, thanks!

FWIW, the Denver Bronco really has nothing to do with Stroppe other than the special paint code which is even a little different.

I think it depends on what you are looking for too... Are you looking for the dealer installed one that bolts through the roof that you have to remove the headliner to install or are you looking for an aftermarket rack that clamps to the rain gutter and is removable...? Big difference IMO.

I don't think either is worth more. Definitely less Explorers than Rangers, but the Rangers actually have more "Gucci" parts on them.
