    Classic Auto Air

The vents are fairly inconspicuous, and you can stick to the original knobs if you prefer, they fit right on. One of the cables is a little long and operates more stiffly than the rest since the only way it fits under my dash is to have a loop in it. The only other downside is that the glove...

4bt cummins in bronco help needed

The bellhousing adaptor from a Dodge HD Cummins pickup truck will allow you to bolt up to the Dodge Automatic or a NV4500, otherwise the Ford adaptor plate is Bread Van specific, they sell them on Ebay, or you need to find a complete van. The bodies all look the same but the frame and chassis...

4bt cummins in bronco help needed

If you got lucky and found a 4bt that was a replacement for a small block, it would physically bolt right in...

4bt cummins in bronco help needed

I have around stock height suspension and a 3 inch body lift, with stiffer springs cut down from a 77 F150. I had to modify the oil pan extensively to gain clearance around the frond D44, and I also had to run a Wild Horses scooped hood to gain clearance for the intake. A few tips. Find a...

Any splash guards or mudflaps for uncut?

No, a 4bt is not a Ford product, but Ford makes no engine that is even close to it in size, weight, performance, fuel mileage etc. Being a diesel fanatic, there were no other reasonably priced options. The big advantage of the 4bt is LOW end torque, and exceptional mileage. I am expecting to...

Any splash guards or mudflaps for uncut?

Those guards are exactly what I am looking for. Were they purchased from somewhere or home made?

Any splash guards or mudflaps for uncut?

The cage is there for safety and a place to mount 3 point seat belts to, but the bumped hood was a necessity, to fit the intake and intake heater for the 4bt under there. The bumped hood would have been too rich for my blood otherwise ;D

Any splash guards or mudflaps for uncut?

Hey guys, I am putting the finishing touches on the steed. I am loving the uncut look, but I have noticed that after a few trips down the gravel road, that I have a couple of small chips acquiring along and very near the fender lips. Has anyone mounted any small splash guards on an uncut? I...

Service my copper Radiator or get a new Aluminum one?

I called around to some local radiator supply shops. I got a new copper radiator or around $200. I may have thought about switching to an aluminum radiator, except the leak developed after I had already made all the mounts for a Taurus fan, and it fit perfectly right between the endtanks of my...

I am a newbie too. I am almost finished on my first Bronco. I am finally getting to the point where I can answer a few questions instead of asking a thousand ;D This website has been invaluable to me during my journey both when I was a guest and after I was a registered member. I am going on...

    Another Rust Bucket

Mine was much rustier than it looked and than I thought it was... I bought ALMOST every rust repair panel that any manufacturer makes. Including grill, tailgate and lower door skins. I had to rebuild the inside of the doors and the inner rear quarters with sheet metal too. Damn Minnesota...

    Tow Hitch

Yeah in hindsight I probably should have done that...The guy who is painting it for me already started on it though...so now I am committed. This danged rig has been more than a 2 year journey and I swear if I could start again right away I could build one twice as nice twice as fast since I...

    Tow Hitch

Yeah I wanted to do that, but that puts the hitch too high for all the trailers we have...or so my grandpa tells me ;D

    Tow Hitch

Oh, you meant a hitch for towing, not being towed... I welded a receiver hitch mount directly onto the bottom of my bumper, but my bumper is 3/16" and has very large plates that bolt to the frame. I was going to adapt on a receiver just like the draw tite unit shown, but it didn't sit right...

    90s Ford 5 speed

Like has been said the Mazda 5 speed is a pretty decent unit. I think you get way more bang for you buck with it. I paid 150 for mine from a salvage yard. Put metal freeze plugs in place of the rubber shift rail plugs and some good quality fluid. We have one behind a 120HP 300FTLB Cummins...

    Tow Hitch

Its not a hitch per say but my dad had a bunch of these old things in a bucket in the barn. I wire wheeled all of the rust and crap and bolted to them on each frame horn on the front and rear just far enough under so you can't see them. They worked great for pulling the bronco in and out of...

I hate winter and so does my credit card.

Ha ha, I feel your guys' pain. I have had lots of my parts lying around for 2 years or more, but mostly just the used ones. My dad taught me at a very young age the expert craft of being a scrounger. I just about ran out of parts last weekend. My dad lets me use his heated shop anytime I...
