Advice on 5.38 Gears for a Trail Bronco, Too Much?

Sounds like I need to avoid the C6/205. It was an idea I had since the C4 needed a rebuild and a buddy has C6. If you can't tell things can snowball with my builds - going to stay the course then and keep it simple. Swap in the full widths with the 5.38 and rebuild the C4.

Advice on 5.38 Gears for a Trail Bronco, Too Much?

If this Bronco goes 55 that would be sweet. Scary too.

Advice on 5.38 Gears for a Trail Bronco, Too Much?

I have a set of full width 44/9 that I removed from my big Bronco before I sold it to go under my '77 Bronco that is used for off-road only. The axles are built up with chrome moly shafts, spools, 5.38 gears. I plan to run 37s. Too deep of gearing? I don't want to run the spool in the front so I...

    Baja Claw TTC, Maxxis Trepador

I have a set of the Cooper STT Pros in 35s, an older set of the STTs, and plan to get a set of the STT Pros in 40x13.50x17 now that they offer them. You could say I'm a big fan of them.

    Engine color

I went with an industrial grey color for my 351W. Ford used this color in the 80s and 90s? The color fit my 77 Bronco because it's nothing fancy and a work horse for the trails.

    2+ Perch Kit by RuffStuff

It's a cool set up, I've seen it in person installed on a Bronco at Jak's Restoration. I went back and forth on ordering it to give my rear axle another 2" but already had an unused WH extreme duty u-bolt kit. It will put stress on the springs in a different way and should help with axle wrap.

75 Bronco w/ Ranger trim value vs other years

They are all pulling bigger numbers than ever before. Right now a Ranger doesn't seem to really matter - Broncos are hot and buyers want one to look cool. It is a status symbol to be able to drive a vintage 4x4. Now in a few years, yes, IMHO I think the Rangers, Special Decors, Sports, etc. will...

    Anyone else have these?

Over the years the lenses are usually replaced with whatever is available or cheapest. I have seen all kinds of replacements for the original Ford lenses including trailer lenses, side markers from other makes/models, and hardware store parts. The odd thing is those side marker lenses were...

New Frame, how does the VIN and title work?

I've seen it on the passenger side further back in front of the rear axle on some of my frames in addition to the place we know near the starter location.
