New Frame, how does the VIN and title work?

That whole VIN swap thing won't fly in CA. They don't care if your original frame is a rusted pretzel. I know you're not in the western land of the progressive elite but others reading this are. The frame makers don't have the answers, they just make the parts.

Is the new frame an exact duplicate of the original ?
If so I'd just stamp VIN in the new frame yourself and be done with it

Cut the VIN stamps out of the old frame and either destroy them or keep them In a safe place

If the new frame is an exact replica , down to the VIN stamps that you do yourself ,and the old frame is destroyed , who's gonna know ?

Depending on your state
You could be opening a huge can of worms

Also if when you call
Use a burner phone or google voice
Don't get yourself on the radar asking questions
