i am not a pro at this or anything but you might try just file the edges really good and then try it. But make sure you clean up all the shavings! Just a suggestion, good luck!

i just got a Pioneer for my 77. Before I got it out of the box the Beaumont,TX humidity got to it and made it have a horrible scratchy noise. I couldn't believe it was the new unit so I thought it was my old speakers and trashed them and got some new alpine 6x9s. They made the same noise... :'(...
