    Good doner vehicle?

Depending on GVWR it could have a D44TTB front or a D50TTB front. The only parts worth anything on a D50 are the hubs/rotors, calipers & lockouts. They are the same as a D60. The rear is a Ford/Sterling 10.25 The trans is most likely an NP435 and the t-case is a BW1356.

    78 Ford 4WD F150

They used both trannies in 4x4 applications. On all the 78/79's I've owned (a couple dozen over the years) it was a 60/40 split T18/NP435 respectively.

    78 Ford 4WD F150

If it's a factory manual trans, it's an NP205. NP205's came behind both autos and manuals. NP203's only came behind auto trannies. Front hub locks aren't a good indicator. NP203's had an available part time conversion kit that included manual hubs. The trans could be an NP435 or a T18. If it's a...

    Quality of Winch?

Your son is correct. The new (Made in China) Mile Markers and the Harbor Freight house brand winches are made by the same company.

    What Winch????

A buddy had a MileMarker 12,000 lb. winch and it blew up the first trip out (made in China). He went through hell trying to get it warrantied. After showing them the power of the internet by bashing their customer service on all the 4wd message boards, they finally caved and sent him a new one...

Any long time, trust worthy members in Lansing, MI?

There's an item on eBay I need and I can get it at a good deal, but it's "LOCAL PICKUP ONLY" in Lansing, Michigan. It would be great to find someone I can trust to pick it up and ship it to me or by some miracle drop it off at the Fall Krawl in KY. Can anyone help a fellow Bronco nut out?

Fawl Crawl - Harlan, KY Oct 19-20 UPDATED INFO 10/15

On the map, the start point is the Mt. Aire Motel in Harlan and the end point is the trail head (or close to it) in Evarts. Two miles south of the trail head (end point) just north of the Rt 38 highway marker should be Verda Field. It's right on Rt 38...

    Went to Sears today,,,Tool Questions

I have a Craftsman 4" that's about 5 years old. It's held up fine and I was surprised to see "MAde in CHINA" on the side. I was at SEARS the other day looking around and all the grinders said "Made in CHINA" (Craftsman, Makita, Skill, DeWalt, Ryobi, Porter-Cable). All of...

Fawl Crawl - Harlan, KY Oct 19-20 UPDATED INFO 10/15

The trail head is at the RV park, so everyone at Verda Field would have to go to the RV park to get to the mountain and since they have showers, we can just stay at the south RV park. They let the ATV's ride around on city streets, but it doesn't say anything about trucks. It's a moot point...

Fawl Crawl - Harlan, KY Oct 19-20 UPDATED INFO 10/15

It must be the Everts trail head then, because Verda, KY is 2.62 miles from Everts, KY. The connection between the two is RT 38. Will they allow "trail only" rigs to drive the 2 miles to the trail head? or do they have to be trailered right to the trail head?

Fawl Crawl - Harlan, KY Oct 19-20 UPDATED INFO 10/15

It's a lot closer than Harlan County Campground & RV Park. It's on the south side of the mountain. It still looks like we have to take the Dodge to meet up (driving on town roads), but it looks like it's only 10 minutes away instead of 45. The North RV park is half the price as the South RV...
