Found a 1976 Special Decor that lists the "Solid Exterior Color"
I'll add the production numbers to the first post.
Now all we need is the white roof numbers.

From what I have seen on Ford Dealer Ordering Info literature, there were two colors that even with the Special Decor option, that you couldn't get a white top with and silver was one of them. I guess Ford's color design team thought Silver and white didn't look right together...... Except on a silver Ranger, and you could get a white top. Crazy right..?...? I will try to find the other color that was unavailable with a white top in the Special Decor package.

The Silver Metallic wasn't available until 2-2-76 and the exact wording from Ford states ""White roof option available w/ all body colors except White and Silver Metallic."

So, this is crazy.... You could order a White Special Decor which came with a color matched top (single body color as stated by Ford) unless you selected the delete option which allowed the carry over of the white top....:mad::mad:

Also, it is stated that the only color 'tape stripe' that you could get on silver was black.....no white.

That is an awesome and rare find  !!!... The silver with black stripes is something I have never seen before. This is also only the second Marti I have seen stating it had dual electric horns.

I went to file the 76 Silver Decor Marti in my collection and realized I had a white roof Marti in the file. (the collection file is getting pretty thick)
282 White roof
576 Solid paint roof

Both Marti's are for the Standard Bronco Special Decor model (Non Sport)
So it looks like we are still missing the Sport Decor production numbers.

does anyone know the difference between "bronco decor group" and
"exterior decor group" when listed on a Marti report.

I have seen my 77 report and have seen others 77 reports with these two different listings.

curious as to what any experts have to say about this.

Those sound like the same thing to me.

Probably a clerical misstep. Or the committee in charge of giving names to things and processes was thinking of making a change and never did quite get there.

Wonder if there's any correlation between those with body color top and those with the optional white roof? Be interesting to see if some option could be tied to the different wording....

I'm finally taking the time to add mine to the list. I got it in 1995 as the second owner.

That's the closest one to my birthday, 15 day delay that's about the longest delay I've seen.

Lol, this one's a touch longer in the delay dept.....not sure it would be surprising if there was one that waited longer. (EBs only - not even going there......)

Looks like another Marti mistake on the color.
"Avovado" Body code G4 is Avocado. They must manually enter all information.

I own this 1976. I am curious would it be considered a Special Decor - 576 (Solid Exterior Color) 282 (with White Roof)
I have just the standar Marti.
