So the Scott Drake went in and so far the Bronco is running better than it ever has! Lord willing, the problem is fixed for good!

I pulling for ya man. I got three bad starter relays in a row from NAPA. 4th one was found on the back shelf made in the USA.

I like to find out where independent garages get their parts in my area.
I feel like I get better quality parts from those suppliers.
Garages can't put up with come-backs because of bad parts.

Appreciate this post as I went through this myself on my 76.
My original pump failed so I replaced with an O'Reilly mechanical. Truck ran good for a few miles only. I thought my lines must be bad so I replaced every inch of fuel line. Same problem, sporadic fuel delivery to the carburetor. I thought must be the fuel sending unit so I drained the tank, inspected the pickup and reinstalled. Same problem. I then read this post (thanks for posting!), got an electric pump now she runs again. Looks like I got a bad Chinese made pump.

Oh boy, now you're really screwed.
Since you've mentioned it, your pump's going to give up on you half-way across the Bay Bridge when you decided to drive it to work, then off to a meet-up with some other Bronco owners.

You know how it works. NEVER say anything good about an old reliable part you're using!;);D

To me it seems that the manufactures dealt with the ethanol with the diaphrams but not the rubber check valve seals. Inside. The more recent failures we fail to function not leaking out the weep hole. The carter i took apart the diaphram was just fine.

I think you'll find that BMW has parts and comlete cars and motorcycles made in China.
It's not where or who makes the stuff, but what the quality control is.

Exactly. And what the company at this end orders. They're perfectly capable of making stuff as, or better than we can with all their modern equipment. But as long as someone orders it based on cost only, and screw the rest, then that's what we get. Screwed.
