Trying to settle a debate. Did the 66-77 ford bronco come with a 351 Windsor motor from the factory??

Nope. except maybe a one-off Boss 351 prototype Bronco... (that I'm aware of)

Was the original very popular swap. Of the dozen or so Broncos I knew of in the early 80s at least two had been swapped out for the 351 Windsor. Seemed to be a thing very early on.

289 was the V8 option from 66-68. 302 was the V8 option from 69-74 and then was the only engine available period from 75-77. No other V8 was ever offered from the factory.

This question coming up as often as it does is testament to the fact that the Windsor is and has been a very popular swap.
And why not. It's one of the smarter swaps out there.
I mean we're not putting a sbc in a Vega here, lol.

The one in my bronco has been there since 1980. Rebuilt in '85 still stout but has some blow by.

Also had an EB in 1978 that had a 400m in it. Now that was a real mudderfudder to work on especially back then.
