Isn't the weight also important to know?

I upgraded an engine from old 302 to new crate 302 and I had to go from 28 oz to a heavier flexplate.

Just saying

It's the correct imbalance (28oz for 351w always) and tooth count (164t is the larger V8 truck type) but I don't know about the offset.
Maybe someone else can confirm then, but at least the first two parameters are correct.

All 351s are 28oz imbalance from the factory regardless of year. The 50oz change over only applied to the 302/5.0

The one I have is a 50oz that was behind a stroker 351w that was balanced 50oz, going back with all 28oz assembly so need a new flex plate. I guess I can take the one I have in to summit and get them to match it up and make sure the one in the link is the correct one.

This is the one we got for our 351w when I installed a c4 transmission. Also, get a new mini starter - great improvement.

Flexplate, 164-Tooth, External Engine Balance, 28 oz. Imbalance, SFI 29.1, Ford, Small Block, Each

My builder ended up using a 50oz flexplate rather than 28oz so that I didn't have to use Mallory metal to get the rotating assembly balanced. Not sure if that is the 'right' way, but seemed to work ok.

Can someone confirm info on the torque converter bolt pattern in the Bronco that it will fit a newer flex plate? I haven't paid enough attention, is the bronco TC bolt pattern smaller than most? I could be wrong....

The Bronco used 2 different bolt circles over the years. Viperwolf will probably correct me on this.
'73 was the large bolt circle 11.4"
'74-76(?) used the unicorn small bolt circle (10.5") with an extended snout.
'77 went back to the large bolt circle

And that Summit flexplate looks correct. I see reference to it working with FMX and 4R70W. That would also be correct if you have a large bolt circle torque convertor C4

Looks accurate as far as I've seen.

Thank you - I couldn't recall the info - I picked up my first C-4 Bronco, a 74, and will have to deal with this soon, swapping the engine and all that.
