Garry- I had this habit from 40 yrs of wheeling with my buddy's that we would see how far we could go in 2wd before ever shifting into 4x. Hence most of my frustration with the early Atlas's because they say to shift on the fly... lol
I used cables on that Atlas and maybe that was the other part of the hard shifting? Early ones are more prone to that than the later ones.
