Hello, I have a 5.0 from a 98 Explorer installed in my bronco. I have a EFI harness and A9L computer that is from a 89 Mustang(so I have been told). I have searched high and low and cannot find a wiring schematic that has the same wire colors and my harness. The harness is a mass air harness. The harness was installed in a Model A roadster and the green and what I would assume were grey and black connectors were clipped off. Where the green connector was has a grey/yellow stripe, two tan, two tan/yellow stripe, black/white stripe, red, and the body ground. There are lots of wires where the other connectors were. I'm sure I could use a ohm meter to find my coolant temp and oil pressure wires but would be lost on the rest. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have included some shaky pictures%)

Get an ohmmeter. Ford didn't use the same wire colors on different models even during the same year.

I agree on the ohmmeter. I often come across identical colored wires that have very different functions.

I have the Probst book at home, which has a bunch of wiring diagrams. I never did find one that had the wire colors that matched up to my harness.

Ford TYPICALLY used the same wire colors for the same FUNCTION across all models & years, but there are plenty of exceptions & variations. Also: although Ford specified wire color & stripe color to the harness subcontractors, they accepted harnesses with only the base wire color correct; they didn't enforce the stripe color.

Your goal should be to ID the harness donor, and then try to get its wiring diagrams. Are there any tags left on the harness sections showing PNs, build dates, or any other data?

Well spent an hour or so today and got all but about 4 wires tracked down. I don't seem to have or have been able to find the nds wire. Is this necessary or how would it be hooked up. Also I want to confirm that the Fuel Pump relay isn't in the factory harness.

Yes you need to find the NDS wire. It goes to ECM pin 30. http://www.oldfuelinjection.com/?p=6

What it attaches to depends on which ECM you use. With a manual trans ECM it needs to connect to sigret (pin 46). With an auto trans ECM it goes to the "S" terminal on the starter solenoid.
