More front tube progress

Some pics from the last couple of nights progress

Fender structure for both sides and core support are done, just need to button up the pass side hood pin mount and I can move onto other stuff (sway bars, rear shock lower mounts, etc.)

Coming right along isn't it, it is really looking great, one of these days I'd like to build a sand runner. But for now I need to finish the daily driver first.

Trans cooler & overflow can mounted, fender struts flanged for removal, I thought I'd wrap up the welding of this thing today, but there are a TON of joints.

It'll still be a couple of years. We want to bring my truck, my friend's Bronco (Green 4-linked, massive power) and my other friend's Monster Truck when we come out.

I got my Borgeson shaft installed, but my camera took a crap so no pics. Total length end to end after cutting to fit was 13"

It really opened up some clearance around the coilover on the driver side.

congrats ruckindaddy...What color orange did you end up going with? I can't wait until I've got some color on this thing.

Only a few fab items left to button up before I paint the rolling chassis. I should be painting the chassis by September sometime & I'll paint the body next year.

Sunset Orange paint code by Sherwin but we used House of Kolor. It is the same orange as the 2007 Lamborgini, simple a beautiful orange especially in the sun. Cant wait to see you finish yours, between yours and Scotts you have inspired me to build my own sandrunner here is a few years, got to this one and the wifes first.

Got the stainless windshield hinge installed (what a pain getting the stock hinge off. Spotweld drills work great so long as you can spot all of the welds:p )

Fabbed up the upper windshield mounts. The tabs got kind of long, so I also added the side gussets for support.

Purchased a hood strut kit from JBG, but of course I don't have anything Bronco below the body line, so I had to fab up my own lower mounts. Driver side is complete, on the pass side the hood stiffener is still curing to the hood, so I'll finish up the lower mount today, but I won't be able to test it out until tomorrow. I think they came out pretty cool, too bad they'll be hidden inside the fender.

Got the driver's side rear shock lower mount finished up last night. I should be able to wrap the pass side up tonight or tomorrow.
