Is there a decent re-usable gasket for the 3rd member that works well? I just used rtv on the 66 and its holding fine but I'd feel better with a gasket when I put the arb in the 72.

lube locker, expensive but the only way to go ever since I used the first one I always check to see if they make one before I seal up anything now.

Just did the 66 with a paper fell pro and it leaked. Redid it with just rtv and ok so far. That's what got me thinking better gasket and no rtv mess.

All eaton and Spicer axles on diesel trucks(basically a 9in but 5 times bigger) all use sealant, never a gasket. I figure there's a reason why.

I'm also thinking easier to pull apart and reseal out somewhere and no waiting for rtv to set up before running it.

The Lube locker gaskets are good ones. You can re-use them.

Always gaskets and silicone here. Never a leak.
Sounds like I should be crossing my fingers from now on thought!

But I have both an o-ring type, and some other style gasket for my next go-round.
