Don't get Chris Phillips close to your project or it will have purple parts everywhere! ;D Doc

Actually, we have a running joke going. I keep wanting to paint various pieces and parts some wild colors while she's sticking to a nice balanced and subtle combination of black, silver and grey for the entire chassis build. hee hee.."Come on hon!..lemme paint these long-arms light blue..or those dif covers flourescent orange..or...." ;D

Okay I finally am putting up more pictures of the progress on this rig. Left off building the fuel tank so here is a little more progress on that.

How about a new set of rear shock mounts?

Oh and we'll need a driveline but we don't seem to have the right size. Sooooo.....I guess we'll just have to make a new one.

Now that is dead sexy! Good progress. Is that high performance engine paint? You know what happens if you dont use high performance paint.

You end up with something like this!

A lot of intense fabricating, cutting, grinding, welding and polishing and it starts to look pretty killer. But we've so much more to do...so, stay tuned!

Filly is a 'machine' in the shop...I sit in my wheelchair and watch with amazement.;D

Oh the shit is getting deep now......best get my boots on AGAIN! Talk about watching with amazement.........that is about all I do lately. Okay, other than sweep up all the metal shavings in the shop.

I'm hoping to get someplace in this build where I can actually help.;D

If your need-for-color is not quite being fulfilled bmc, maybe start painting the house, garage and tools?
I already see some sort of implement (engine stand looking thingy) in a light color of purple. It's a start anyway.

Now that I get to this page, I can see that if there was EVER something that absolutely deserved a wild paint job, a fuel-injected and supercharged wild-assed flathead would be it.

From what I understand is that this rig was manufactured with a manual transmission and thus had kicker shocks to assist with axle wrap.....we are running an auto transmission with this build but are going to run 37" tires, we decided that the extra kicker might be a good thing to keep. Certainly won't hurt anything.;D
