After being reminded of this thread over in off topic......We need some progress!

Funny that you mentioned it. After taking a year off for back problem and surgery...I'm finally back in the shop and back on the flattie project.;D

Just hung a set of polished stainless steel headers on the engine...the basis for the custom aluminum radiator just showed up from Summit so I can start cutting and welding on that..(flatties V-8s have independent cooling systems left and right bank..so the raddy has to have two inlets and two outlets.;))

Picked up some seats (BMW buckets, all electric)....some roadster door inserts..tilt auto column from F-150...

Pics when Filly gets to it..;)

Is there some mention here, or a separate thread that follows along as you two worked with Painless to "perfect" their new #65257 and #65258 EFI kits for Flathead Fords?
Cool dual or triple throttle-bodies and adapters to fit the Stromberg pattern manifolds.
You dogs, when are we going to see them mounted up and running? ;D

No..because ours is just my own design and a single 4.6L throttle body with multi-port injection.

Have not messed with it much of late other than accumulating some more parts. We still don't have a decent body for it and that kinda takes the 'fun' out of working on the rest.:-[

I'm a newbie how do I ask questions
I'm a newbie. How do I ask questions?

Proper punctuation???

;D

If it's a new topic, at the top of each individual Forum (Chat, Tech, etc) there is a selection for New Thread. Select that, and the rest should be pretty clear.

Back on it. Got the radiator done today. Finally figured out how I'm doing all the EFI wiring and control..so as soon as I get the last few details on that taken care of...its finally time to hear this 239 cubic inch monster roar!.

Bill, that's awesome! Glad to see you back on this project. So what's details on the efi system? I assume you're going to adapt a Mustang setup? SD or MAF? I was thinking with that size engine you might be able to get by with SD but throw in the blower and you probably need to go MAF with a tuner.

Radiator looks good.

Someday I want to do a flattie project . . .

Funny you would ask that, Gary....it's taken me forever to make a final decision on the EFI.

The TB, TB elbow, TPI, and the injectors are from 4.6l Ford. The IAC valve is a GM stepper type.

In addition to a mechanical Fuel Management Unit ( a regulator downstream of the rail pressure regulator that boosts fuel pressure in proportion to induction boost), I'm running a wide-band O2 and a 3-bar MAP sensor; so the limited amount of boost (~6 psi is all) will be easily dealt with by the Holly HP controller which is speed-density. The water and inlet air temp sensors are also Holley.

Rats. Looks like my pushrods are 0.10" too long.
