Hi All,
So I think I have read every post about clutch chatter and things to troubleshoot on that. I think my next option is to just get a new clutch.
Because I went and removed transmission and existing clutch already, I want to make sure I put the Right one back in when I do. I would hate to do this 3 times.
Too many choices out there for what seems to be a good clutch. I am looking for recommendations or even ones to stay away from would be as much value.
Centerforce dual friction or centerforce II?

any other?
I have stock 302, with 3 speed. Dana 20. 4.5" WH Lift. New body mounts, new transmission cross member mounts, engine mounts are good. 6 deg Shim kit in rear (but still sort of high pinion angle). U-bolts are new and tight. New and clean flywheel, no oil leaks.
I have some serious clutch chatter going into 1st. after a ton of troubleshooting, I think I narrowed it down to the new paddle style ceramic clutch disc that I installed. It seems to grab great at high RPM and dumping the clutch, but it definitely is not how I want to be driving it. I just prefer an easy driving dependable one. Smooth and easy. I have replaced all bushings in equalizer and removed rear drive shaft (with chatter remaining in front wheel drive only).
My thoughts are to immediately go to a centerforce, but I live in Hawaii and shipping costs for anything to buy are a big deterrent.
In any case, This forum has been great! I have been building my '74 for the past 4 years, and some dedicated quarantine time in the garage finally got me back on the road. Once I get this clutch chatter out, I will be one proud owner.
