Buddy and I are thinking of taking the wifes to Prescott for a couple of days of wheeling and whiskey. I found a couple of trails that look good, but wanted to see if there were any folks on here who have any suggestions?

These look good:

Mingus Mountain and Cooper Creek look cool but not right in Prescott.

Thanks all and Happy New Year!

How aggressive of a trail do you want to run? There are some nice forest service roads (go to the bar in Crown King) for the mild. All the way up to buggies with winches have a hard time getting through

I've done Cooper Creek but I've not known it as that in the past. Smiley Rock on your list is a good one - a few more challenging spots on it compared to some of the others. I grew up in Prescott and still try to spend as much time there as I can. Development has engulfed a lot of the area but there are still miles and miles of roads to travel. As Bowsher noted - Senator Road from Prescott to Crown King is a nice drive but it's not really 4WD unless there's snow. Lots and lots of roads off of Senator Road to explore though.

Some of the forest roads on Mingus get closed for the winter for several months. Check with Prescott National
Forest office before you go.

Thanks for the info. I downloaded the OnX app which was really helpful too.
