With all of the variations of tube doors out there, I always wondered if someone had ever made a tube tailgate to match. Hopefully someone will have some pictures to post.

Thats close to what I'm looking for... The Ballie Bilt gates seem to be only for a spare tire use....I'm wondering if any of these use the stock mounts and locks?

wouldn't be too difficult to set up for the stock latches and mounts... Just a tube perimeter with sheet metal filler? Or all tube and open???

I'm famous

I was sitting there one day staring at the rusted out tailgate and I had some tube scrap sitting nearby and realized my 2inch tube fit right over the stock hinge. I just went from there. I did need to reposition the stock latch on the body but it turned out pretty good. I used a couple drawer knobs on the stock spring loaded latch for handles and had someone bend me a piece of diamond aluminum for the cover. I'll try to post closer pictures a little later.
