Hi guys,
I have a couple of quick questions about an ARB install into the HP Dana 44.
1) I didn't use an axle spreader to remove the factory diff but it did require some persuasion with a crowbar. Do I need one for the install or have others gotten away without it? I know for a Dana 60 it's basically a must.
2) Where in Socal can someone rent a good pinion depth tool (and for that matter an axle spreader if I need it)? With the shims going under the bearing race, I really don't want to put this together and take it apart a ton of times to get it right. I machined the outside of the old race so I don't have to press it in every time but still a PITA.
