so most people mention blazer or k-5 blazer as donor vehicles regular four wheel drive chevy trucks these years will not work in other words they don't have dana 44s?

I think the trucks have D44s, at least some of them do. Some do but others came with gm corporate axles. I always just mention Blazers because all Blazers from those years had the 1/2 ton Dana axles while most trucks were 3/4 ton which had larger spindles which you can't fit Ford rotors on to. Chev rotors had six wheel studs which you don't want, unless you're gonna convert the rears to a gm six stud setup too.

I have the E-Bay kit that was mentioned in an earlier post. It was really well put together, and the instructions are great. It even includes the bearing grease! I would highly recommend them to anyone. By the way, I put 'em on a D30.

Sorry- its the one that Horsepower Sales sells. He always has EB brake stuff on E-Bay. Like I said, good stuff. I'm sure we could have pieced it together with wrecking yard stuff for less money, but the idea of everything NEW has a certain appeal.

As George Carlin said, "When stepping on the brakes, your life is in your foot's hands".

I agree with bronco77 I also got my kit from horsepower on EBay..complete set easy to install (about 2 hrs, the only problem a plug caliper..a pain to bleed untill I find the problem) however if you have the time finding the use parts will save you half of the cost, also Ben is correct I installed a proportioning valve but I am not run it.. the pedal is mushy but the rig stop very well.
