Bronco Takeover August 6th Silver Lake Sand Dunes, MI

Perhaps, but I know it was recently invited to be part of the "Early Off Roaders" exhibit running May through October at the AACA museum in Hershey, PA (a Smithsonian Affiliate museum) but they passed since they wanted to get it dialed in to bring it up to Silver lake later this summer.

That was the word I heard... Ill double check just to make sure!

Event schedule: 9am meet and greet show and lunch with raffle prizes every driver gets raffle ticket on the way in. And first 100 get grab bags from james duff. Workin on having food available in show area if not bar located right next to show will be having quick lunch specials and fully staffed. Around 1pm lining everyone up and heading threw town to the dunes please have all required things to get on dunes stickers orv,orv trail, and state park stickers flag mounted on front of truck and tires aired down. Once on the dunes parade to the beach to park for pictures videos and interviews by dune tv. About 3pm anybody who wants to join can come do laps over the big hills and enjoy the rest your day. Val du lakes campground is open to reserve a campsite for the weekend and they are reserving whole section of campground for broncos only. The site next to mine will be open for everyone to come down to the fire and have a good time Saturday night. If there is anymore questions please feal free to message me anytime. Want to clarify a few things. As stated above, Pony Express was invited to a car museum this year but James Duff respectfully declined the offer so he could come to the Bronco Take Over. James Duff is retired but he has no plans of retiring Pony Express to a museum Permanently anytime soon. He may decide to put it in a museum if offered again but it would only be for a short period.

I'm excited to put faces with names. My FIL and his '75 and I are trying to find a place to stay. This was last weekend at SLSD. Long arms and 4 link was AWESOME (and so was the transmission MM)!

Suzy, Honk when you drive through Benton Harbor/St. Joseph! We have a great beach or three, about six brewery's now, and great pizza!

I think my '72 threw a rod this week . The '68 is still running fine, however. I'm going to try to be at SL on Friday! I'll probably drive up Thursday night, and spend part of the day Friday at SL, and then on to Baldwin. Hope to see everyone there! Hopefully the weather plays nice!

I spent a couple hours moving stuff in the shop to get my bronco out so I could get it on the hoist and see why it's leaking, looks like just loose and missing bolts on the trans to transfer case adapter so it should be good enough to go in the next couple days.

Don't know how I pulled it off but I will be there. Was at JBG last night when they reminded me... spent the night putting on the final parts and been test driving it today.
I have a trailer lined up... Not my first time at the dunes, but this will be my Bronco's first trip... looking forward to it...

Got my father-in-law's '75 on the gooseneck in the driveway--loading mine on the gooseneck in the morning and heading North to Val Du. He's been bringing his EB to SLSD for 20 years. This is what his looks like:

This was an awesome weekend! I see maybe one EB a month where I live but this past weekend I saw a ton of them! The informal car show had 200 EB's (maybe more?) as well as a ton of FSB's. There was everything from a perfect 19XX model to 110" wheelbase dedicated rigs to a guy I've met before that built everything on his supercharged 347 with aluminum body and air-bag suspension (it is an awesome rig). I was in awe of all the rigs and my wife and I took a ton of pics.

Met Monster Mike, Suzie and The Man, Mr. Duff. Was great talking to these people and in a very small way, getting to know them.

Thanks for the takeover and hopefully this is an annual event. I want to see the pic of the ones that made it to the dunes on Saturday.

And this thing was bad ass!
