Going new with paint. So let's finish body work. Don't want it deal with dented doors and hood. So off to wild horses. It was like a kid in a candy store. Did not realize they don't have a working shop. Just employee rides in the bays. Tons of new parts...even a scratch and dent area! Well went with a list and stuck with it.... They did not have a driver door shell, so went with a skin. All new parts are dynacorn, made in china?? Got the full tour, so fun...

Tailgate installed on sat, so worked on getting the passenger door installed. Of course it's not a direct bolt on. Had too enlarge interior door handle bolt hole, adjust exterior door handle and install the hinges first. Overall good.

Since Wild horses did not stock the driver door (due to manufacturing problem), it's time to fix the driver skin. Took door off and noticed a big rust spot on bottom. Well got to fix that, also found a quarter size hole on the latch side. Fixed all spots now the skin.
Took grinder on leading edge and carefully pulled off skin. Will try eastwood tool to pull skin edge off. Plenty surface rust inside.

Day off so back on it. Skin applied the 3m adhesive. Gun cost 50 bucks, more than the epoxy. Adhesive on and now to bend over lip. Used the skin zipper....not so good. Ended up using the hammer and dolly. I dont know if was my pneumatic chisel or metal was just to thick. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1382753396.374107.jpg

Worked on both door, fenders and hood to get the gaps correct. It's as close as its going to get. Did have time to clean some bolts from the tumbler. Wore full face protection and use dremel with wire disk. Painted and primed some. All bolts installed except lower fender bolts. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1383588498.715254.jpg

Found a bumper on sale from wild horses, like the shape. Of course the holes don't line up because the custom frame. Need to fill the monster holes. My new 220v filled it like butter. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1384053531.202125.jpg

Cool, mine would be buried under a foot of snow outside. ;)
The new rule is you have to finish before you can sell...

face to face or flange to flange? as in where the back of the wheel hits..... Face just seems to me to be the surface that the pad contacts.
