Damn, those guy aren't messing around.

They are kind of amazing. I have only seen one in person at the local off road expo here in Orlando.
Using a 1/2" impact gun with no tank.
Reseating beads on 37" tires, etc...

I've bought two of those and their reliablity is not too good. One has taken a dump all ready and the other one has only been use a time or two. I only paid $25 for each of them. So let the buyer beware. I now have a Viair that works good but like all small compressors it's slow. Tank would be a good idea.

I also had a red one which worked well until I got to about 10,000' or higher altitude in Colorado. At that altitude it would not provide enough air pressure to activate the front ARB. My system has an air tank but the pump would not provide any air pressure above 70 psi. Now have a Viair and it works great at any altitude.

What's your budget.?......if u don't do the York I would do the smittybilt CO2 tank for 240$ or the arb compressor for 250$ or the one for 500$

I have the Masterflow unit, it works well enough that I took off the York compressor I have been using for over 20 years when I swapped to the 4G alternator. Just didn't make sense to go through the hassle of figuring a new mounting system for the York.

My dad has this unit on his jeep, VERY impressive. Fills 2 tires at a time (35's), he's done and drinks a beer before anyone else gets to the second tire.

"budget on board air"
So I have to toss this question in, what do you mean by budget?
You can go to Pul A Part and get a compressor off one of the large GM cars.
Last time I think I paid $5-$6 each (I have 2 at home in my electrical box).
Years ago a guy used one to run his ARB locker.
I also have a quick air 3, when it came out it was tuff to beat.
With tanks you have to look at the volume to see how much they help (IMHO)

I got tired of on board air compressors and I have switched to the Smittybilt CO2 bottle. I started with a cheap HF compressor and it worked OK until it melted under the hood. I switched to a small Viair compressor still mounted under the hood and it was better. However on a hot day the heat under the hood would trip the Viair thermal switch without ever turning the compressor on! I relocated the Viair to a rear wheel tub and it worked well but was annoyingly loud! Finally upgraded to a CO2 tank after wasting money on 2 compressor set ups trying to do it on the cheap!

Only times my ARB wouldn't work was when I had compressor issues. I suggest going York or CO2 bottle.

Don't even think of airing up big tires with a HF compressor!

I use the a 92 mustang AC compressor, the yorks are supposed to provide more air, however when in Moab last year we had one york with a tank and it did not run air tools and had mine and the york tied together to run the tool intermittently.

I like the simplicity ,size and price of my setup over the york. Spare compressors are bout free to $20 each. my ARB's leak bad and my compressor keeps up with it .

I did have a compressor clutch go bad in Harlan a few years ago and forgot my spare, but was able to find a replacement for $20.

To be fair we were grinding 1/4" steel with a die grinder with a 3 gallon reserve tank. We did run our compressors at 100% duty cycle for at least 1/2 hour. A CO2 tank would have been really handy that day.
I have maybe $100 total in my York setup before buying a serpentine pulley to mount it on the Explorer front dress.
