C4 issue

My 75 has an automatic transmission. I can crank the engine. It runs fine but when I go to shift in either reverse or first second or third, it does nothing. Fluid is ok and linkage looks good. What else can I look for?

I would double check your transfer case. Try different ranges. Pretty common for the T case to get bumped into neutral. Dog, kids, leaning across, etc.

If park works, transmission needs rebuild.
If it rolls in park, the transfer case is in neutral.
