Wow. After hearing how many miles you guys drive everyday, I'm wondering what kind kind of mileage you get. I get about 10mpg on a good day with 3:50 gears and 33's and a big cam with an NV3550. What kind of mpg's? Can we add that to this thread? Planning on getting 4:11's when I can.

Mine gets around 12mpg...but the way I look at is.....1) I don't make payments on it 2) Insurance is cheap 3) I can fix most problems myself. 4) It's a blast to drive all the time;D

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like I need a 351 w/4:11 gears, lots of downhill and a job near by. :p Thankfully it's all paid for and the insurance is reasonable.

Mine was a dd for years. It will be again once I get the latest build done again. I only commute about eight miles one way.

I did a full restoration( body off frame, every nut n bolt, SVO crate motor, the whole works). Then I left it sit in the garage most of the time and rarely drove it for the next 15 years. last year my son wrecked my Ranger pickup so I started driving the 68 Bronco every day for the last 15 months.

When it sits in the garage all shined up and spotless I want to go wheel it.
When I go wheel it I wish it was still shinney.

I drive my 66 everyday. My round trip is only about 15 miles but I would still drive it if it was 50 miles. Mine gets mid teens but its a straight six and I don't have much occasion to put my foot into it on my commute. Sometimes I change it it and drive the 68 or the 74 to work.

I started a new jod in Oct and my stock 74 has ben a DD it's about 50 miles a day to work and the MPGs is 20-21. It's a 200 6, 3speed still on the collum, 4.56s. Top speed is 58mph so I don't drive it on the interstate. I'm scared to, I don't want to get run over! Lol!

My work schedule is a 5 store rotation from 5 to 15 miles one way. I would drive mine more if I could get over the fear of it getting stolen. It's a problem I've always had. It gets weekend duty and any errands through the week. Usually look for an excuse to drive it.
Mild 302,3 speed,33's. Mileage? Fun ,you bet!
Some claim,it's paid for.My payments are made to the vendors and auto part stores, more out of want than need.

I don't drive mine to work because that would mean just letting it sit at the airport all week, but I do drive it the rest of the time. 500-1000 miles a month, '70 uncut, 3.5" Lift, 3 on the tree, 31" tires, 302/2V Carb, 13.5mpg hwy.

I can't justify a garage queen.;)
I've set it up with air, tunes, nice seats and now the overdrive transmission. I've been using it for everything. I'm even planning on using it for extended travel for my job.
