Guys,
I put a wildhorses style family roll cage into my 74 bronco. After working to fit the cage and spending a lot time on it I just couldn't get it symmetrical such that the roll cage up risers were perfectly equal distances from the bed rails.
In the end I trimmed out and welded a notch in the bed where the fuel filler pipes intrude into the bed.

It's painted black again now and the cage is in with perfect symmetry.
My question is... Does everyone have trouble fitting these roll cages?
Does the bed of my 74 look stock (before I made the notch
)?
My guess was that the roll cage had its feet (bottom plates) a little out of alignment but maybe the trucks vary or the bed of this one is a little different. Anyway it's in now and looks great.
Interested to hear your thoughts?
I'm sure many here have installed those cages.
