EFI fuel Line install

Have explorer fuel rail I am trying to install spring lock connector back on Line. Oiled orings, cannot get fitting to lock on. any quick advice on how to get spring to go over fittings.

Mine is very hard to install and remove as well. I have to use the removal tool when installing it. It's as if the spring is too small and will not click.

I hope you remember to put O-rings on that. I see 2 missing from that picture.

They just snap together. Chances are the clearances are tighter on the aftermarket part making it hard to jump the spring. I little twist (1/8 turn) can help the spring jump over and lock in.

fittings

Had new fittings with orings installed. Used tool to install new fittings. was very tight. Thanks for the replies.
