I did my all ford '79 knuckle brake swap a while back on my '75 and now I am loving it except that I think I'm toe-ed in too much.

Is there enough adjustment room on the stock '75 tie rod end to get it line?

Is this something I can do with a string in the driveway or do I need a front end alignment shop?

What is the best way to line up my steering wheel afterwards?

Did I say that I love having lots of braking power and stopping ability.

Thanks,

Jason

   Yes you can do it in the driveway get a reading front of tire and rear of tire I dont have the book with me but it should be about 1/8" to 1/4" toe in. You will need to look in the book easy fix good luck and have fun . Just looked it is 1/16" to 1/4" max on the toe in. Bill

I have the same setup I did endup going with a 3 way adjustable tie rod setup and did a TRO swap to. You really cant get your steering wheel straight again without a adjustable drag link. Although you can pull the steering wheel off and turn it back to a straight setting but the steering box is what is really off.

BC has good instructions for this using a piece of masking tape and a tape measure. Toe in depends on tire size. With 33's I ran 1/4-5/16". My friend didn't trust my alignment job on his and went and paid to have it checked. They said it was right on and were amazed how we did it.
