OK Boys & Girls, it's a 74' Explorer "The Blue One". Everything I can find says the 3 holes should be ignition, brake light, cigar lighter. Thats all good except the 3rd hole ain't big enough for a cigar lighter?? It also has a rolled bump around it. Went back and looked at early pics and it had been used but nothing there when I got it. Any help!!!;D;D;D

I bet the afterburner ignition switch was there, or the nitrous, or the air bag lowering control, or maybe even the Airguide compass mount.......

Is the outer ring (outside the existing hole) large enough for a lighter socket?

It says what it's for right above it. The wipe wash button goes there for when you ate mexican and drank to many Beers the night before!;D

Did you look behind it to see if it was welded in? (To confirm it's part of the original dash stamping.) Cigar lighter delete dash??

HaHa!!!

No PTO Keith!
No ejection seats!
Don't do Mexican & Beer (Tequila!!)
I'd need to drill it out for a lighter!
Appears to be original to dash Scoop!

Stretch is a 73' and the extra hole for the hazard got a red covered flip switch to "nothing"!!! may do the same here!!;D;D;D

The hole to the left is for the Brake Warning Light.

The hole to the right looks like the Cigar Lighter hole with a washer welded in it for the ???

Like Scoop said, did you look behind the dash? Looks like a washer stuck inside a cigarette lighter.

No sir I've looked and felt it, smooth as a baby's bottom. I'm aware there should be a hole for a cigar lighter, but like Scoop said it would be a small one!!
Was the cigar lighter an option?? My Marti doesn't mention it??;D;D;D

It was on a plain jane Bronco, but your Blue One is a Ranger......M Rangers had extras!....so it was included in the Ranger package. However, like Scoop mentioned, it may be listed as a optional 'mini' lighter....;D;D;D

It's actually an Explorer, and oddly enough most of the Explorers I've come across didn't have one originally including my 76 and the 73. Dad has two Explorer parts trucks and I know one didn't either, possibly both.
